A trumpet shape, JAPANESE IMARI style vase with a decorative scalloped edge top. Four panels, hand painted in enamel on an authentic base colour of iron red with gilt highlights. Two show 2 figures: a man standing in traditional dress and one behind. The background is a garden with trees and cherry blossom. The other two are of colourful butterflies and chrysanthemums in shades of blue, pinks and orange. Stands approx 30cm with no damage
