North was the father of Admiral Sir Frederick Hew George Dalrymple-Hamilton, commander of Rodney during the engagement with Bismark. His son also called North was serving on HMS King George V during the same engagement. The watch has 18k stamps to inner lid and dust cover and works with a gentle wind. 39mm face and has a gross weight of 65.5g
