SUBSTANTIAL TOP QUALITY William IV period, Old Sheffield Plate tureen. Features an ogee shaped fitted cover with naturalistic decorated handle. Raised on four scroll feet with scroll and foliate shoulder decoration. The twin handles and borders with scrolling acanthus with engraved detail. No mark noted to the underside of the inner cover. In excellent order with very slight surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and any damage noted. Weight 6.29kg approx.
