A large and imposing bust of RABBIE BURNS standing 54cm tall. Plaster with a crackle whitewash finish, this is an impressive piece. Indistinct Dumfries maker's mark on the rear dated 1888.

Eleven chapters prepared for the benefit of visitors to the district including a contribution by the Earl of Dalkeith. Spine ends slightly bumped. Also TRADITIONS OF EDINBURGH by Robert Chambers, illustrated by James Riddel, hardback in red cloth with gilt illustration of Mary Queen of Scots on the front cover. Good condition with first plate loose. And also a first edition 1877 hardback copy of EDINBURGH PAST AND PRESENT ITS ASSOCIATIONS AND SURROUNDINGS printed by Thomas and Archibald Constable, book plate with dedication in good condition with bumping to corners.
