Lot 148
The ROYAL SCOTS original 19th century 6th VOLUNTEER BATTLION blue cloth helmet plate in stamped brass. Attributable to a pre-WWI enlisted soldier Willie Euman who went on to serve in WWI and survived the conflict remaining in the army until 1921. Willie was one of five brothers who served and remarkably survived WWI although one brother did die from the effects of gas in the 1920s. Also comes with Willie's standard field issue Royal Scots cap badge

An excellent pre-WWI era British bayonet with original scabbard and frog, likely pattern 88 Mark I sword bayonet believed to be by Wilkinson marked 10 8 with VR cipher and later GR cipher, blade 30cm long. Heavily greased before storage and therefore in remarkably good condition. The leather on the frog is also excellent.

A commemorative military silk in very heavy huge Perspex frame (could be removed if required). KING'S OWN ROYAL REGIMENT, Norfolk Yeomanry 257th battery, 56th anti-tank regiment, 7th army division of the Desert Rats. Beautifully embroidered, WWI and WWII battle honours display piece 90 x 90cm approx. An amazing and possibly unique item.
