The WWII Medals and ephemera of ex RASC DESERT RAT / 8th Army veteran GEORGE BROWN. Includes medals proudly mounted for blazer wear with 8th Army bar on Africa Star as noted on accompanying award slip. Also includes George's coveted Desert Rat sleeve patch along with copies of photos of him in the field on service with comrades and later newspaper article showing him proudly wearing the medals. A lovely group, and a reminder of a brave Tyneside soldier's service.
