A large and superb 15ct shell cameo of a classical garlanded female set in a frame of interlocking branches with engraved superbly detailed vine leaves at compass points. Beautiful detailing to features of both the portrait with garland picked out in darker shell and further detailing to frame. A makers stamp ET is noted to the top, no further marks but independently tested as 15ct gold. A truly stunning quality piece, there is a light crack noted to the right of the portrait. With a 1997 Edinburgh Jewellers valuation certificate of £450.
