Original 1882 Photo Album relating to the PITMAN family (of secretarial fame). FREDERICK ARCHIBALD HUGO PITMAN in 1912 bowman of the winning OXFORD Boat Race crew and also in 1912 rowed for New College 8 and Stockholm Olympics winning silver. Many unique original photographs of HENLEY REGATTA, UNIVERSITY BOAT RACE, Many crew photos and winning teams, Scottish Club 1885, FJ Pitman in boat. Many horses, family groups as well as some Norway travel photos. A superb archive clearly from a very wealthy family. Most of these boating photos likely unique. Album itself intact with disbound boards and weak spine measures 38cm x 27cm, some internal foxing noted but photos are generally good clean.
