Lot 105
A vintage SAMURAI SWORD ! Brought back to the UK by the vendor's grandfather who was a ship's Captain before and during WWII. The old leather is cracked and stained in places and would benefit from treatment. The wrap on the handle is quite good as are the tassels. We have not removed the handle to check for makers names and the sword blade has a dull edge. The blade has some old grease still apparent from long term storage when the sword was consigned to the attic whilst the vendors family was young. The total length is 101cm and the item is very weighty.
Guide: £250-350
