OF LOCAL INTEREST - a first edition 1929 hardback copy of MELROSE AND FAIR TWEEDSIDE edited by T Gowland and JE Fairburn. Eleven chapters prepared for the benefit of visitors to the district including a contribution by the Earl of Dalkeith. Spine ends slightly bumped. Also TRADITIONS OF EDINBURGH by Robert Chambers, illustrated by James Riddel, hardback in red cloth with gilt illustration of Mary Queen of Scots on the front cover. Good condition with first plate loose. And also a first edition 1877 hardback copy of EDINBURGH PAST AND PRESENT ITS ASSOCIATIONS AND SURROUNDINGS printed by Thomas and Archibald Constable, book plate with dedication in good condition with bumping to corners.

7 Dialogues Paraprosodies booklet by JEAN COCTEAU de l'Academie, Edition du Rocher 1958 with a personal message and a doodle drawing within the inside page to an artist friend GEORGE WRIGHT HALL circa late 1950's - the vendor has also kept the original mailing envelope with postage stamps and postage cancels with a personal message hand-written on the envelope (envelope poor condition) also - booklet in nice condition also with a JEAN COCTEAU 1957 programme including original dust cover La Chapelle Saint Pierre Villefranche sur Mer by Editions Du Rocher Monaco printers - condition good but has a small ink-stain on the bottom edge of the pages - this in no way detracts from this lovely RARE 'gem'
