DAVID COPPERFIELD'S BOYHOOD by Charles Dickens, abridged by Edward Shirley, published by Thomas Nelson, dedicated to 'Irene' Xmas 1917, with colour plates in fair condition and a copy of ON DUTY WITH PC 49 by Alan Stranks author of "the famous radio series" with some colour plates and scribbling in ink and a watercolour on card of a small dog and crow 1921.

THE LAST FIGHT OF THE REVENGE. And the death of Sir Richard Grenville. (A.D. 1591) Related by Sir Walter Raleigh, Sir Richard Hawkins, Jan Huygen van Linschoten, Lord Bacon, and Sir W. Monson. Together with the most honorable tragedie of Sir Richard Grinuile, knight. By Gervase Markham (1595) to which is added Sir R. Grenville's Farewell. (circĂ  1543.). This edition published privately in Edinburgh in 1886 and limited to 275 small-paper and 75 larger-paper copies. This small paper copy (18x12cm) with hand-cut pages was owned by PERCY JAMES WINSER (famous for his involvement in the perfection of Lever's Sunlight Soap). Blue board cover in good overall condition

THE IMPERIAL FAMILY BIBLE containing The Old and New Testaments, according to the authorized version with notes, original and selected references, readings, chronological tables and indexes lavishly illustrated with plates and engravings, published by Blackie & Sons of Glasgow, register to front of volume with birth, marriage and death entries dating from 1852; the volume is bound in leather with copious gold gilt decoration, some wear to leather of spine and some foxing of pages but generally in good condition (39x29x12cm approx)
