A rare survivor indeed ! HORNBY 31801 Series 3E RIVIERA NORD Train Set in part box complete with Locomotive, tender, two carriages, buffers and a quantity of three rail track.
The 31801 Locomotive and tender are in good order with only light marks, a few of the tin flanges are a little bent and could do with straightening. The two Compaignie Internationale Des Wagon Lits Et Des Grands Express Europeens carriages are beautifully finished in cream and royal blue and named Voiture Lits No. 2644 and Voiture Restaurant No. 2862D.
Produced by Mecanno Hornby between 1926 - 1938 this would have been high on the Christmas list of all young lads but unwrapped by only the lucky few.
