Lot 484
LEITH CATHOLIC YOUNG MENS SOCIETY. Large parade marching banner with painted saints. An impressive silk and linen stitched piece recovered from a church building in Leith. Sadly seen better days as the centre image of the boat is heavily damaged and likely beyond repair. The panels with the saints though are really quite lovely as is the main pole.
The pole measures approx 148cm and the drop is 180cm approx.
A superb thing but condition should be noted.
