Captain Lambton later became colonel and served throughout Crimea earning the Turkish Order of the Medjidieh. Henry Betts also appears to have served in Crimea. The piece measures 17cm across and is in good condition.

The whole has been wonderfully accessorised with original antique pieces which include a NEW SULTAN carbide lamp, a push horn, a WRIGHT saddle, a leather tool holder, an original hard shell helmet, leather saddle pannier, a brass clincher pump, a leather flask holder, and remarkably even an antique tennis racquet. The side car even has goggles and itself has an original antique side lamp with green glass side beads. The whole in a remarkable state of preservation.
