ORIGINAL Wehrmacht officer's jacket 40" chest approx. Named tunic to Major Walter Shafer, first Commanding Officer of the 110th Infantry Regt, at the time of Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of Russia in 1941, the same year as he was killed in action. Comes with provenance and accompanying documents.
The tunic which came from his widow Frau Shafer, has the early dark green collar, patches both with scalloped flaps, silver bullion breast eagle. This was a private purchase tunic with a Mannheim tailors label and condition is good.
