Guide price: £300-1200

A nice early antique brass faced George III style longcase clock, with fine mahogany and inlay veneers and cabinet maker craftsmanship. The hood is flanked with fluted columns with brass caps and base. It boasts a long mahogany door with a moulded edge to the case flanked by reeded columns with brass capitals above a moulded panel and standing on a plinth base.
The movement having a spectacular ornate brass face with an engraved silvered chapter ring and black numbers, original hands and second hand, The eight day movement, Original pendulum, weights, and period keys are included.
Clock works, but not wound or used for at least two years, and would highly recommend a light clocksmith service . The clock was regulary serviced by a Scottish Border Clocksmith - The case in this clock is stunning as is the clock face(in my opinion!) condition.
