Scottish Sterling Silver TODDY LADLE with Edinburgh hallmark stamps and inset with an 1816 Silver Sixpence to bowl. Bowl weighs 38g approx and has a diameter of 67mm. Loose baleen handle 40cm long and topped with a silver finial. A very nicely presented piece.

A gorgeous GEORGIAN coin silver TODDY LADLE with George III 1787 inset shilling retaining good detail. The bowl made from coin silver, retaining edge detail around the bowl. Bowl measures 6cm approx with an estimated weight of approx 35g. Split noted to baleen handle which is topped with an unmarked silver finial.

BANK OF ENGLAND / 1911 LIVERPOOL GENERAL STRIKE RIOTS INTEREST! Britannia Standard Silver hallmarked handled bowl (958) carrying full Lion, Britannia and date letter Q hallmarks with makers stamp AP FP (Arthur Martin Parsons & Frank Herbert Parsons trading as Vander & Hedges then as Tessiers, New Bond Street, London) The bowl has a Tessier stamp to base. Measures 13cm in diameter approx. Weight 326g approx. 'Presented by the Court of Directors of the Bank of England to Theodore V Deacon, for services rendered as Special Constable at the Liverpool Branch during the riots of 1911. With Bank of England Britannia and Beehive Armorial crest and inscription relating to the General Transport riots of 1911, I was unable to establish the story behind this presentation but he must have performed his duty bravely to have been presented with this substantial piece. Some minor dents noted.

Presentation inscription reads: W.A.F Saunders, High Sheriff of Lancashire to Frederick Deacon Esq. 1862 The tray measures 12cm across and weight 90g excluding the ink well which does have a split to the cap.
